Blanton's Gold

Blanton's Gold is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Blanton's range, drawn from single barrels. Each barrel is bottled by hand and sealed with wax. The bottle takes its inspiration from Colonel Albert Blanton and his love of horses. Every bottle carries one of eight stoppers with a horse and jockey figure, and each stopper is engraved with a letter, so that all eight together spell Blanton's. The flavour is described as complex, with dried fruit such as plums, spice including cloves, floral notes, chocolate and a restrained oak. The finish is long and nutty, with vanilla and oak.
