Blanton's Original Single Barrel Bourbon (75cl, 46.5%)

Blanton's Original Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon made at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort. It is bottled at 46.5% ABV (93 proof) in a 75cl bottle. Blanton's was introduced in 1984 and was the first commercially marketed single barrel bourbon. Each bottle is drawn from an individual barrel, and the stopper is a horse and jockey, with each stopper showing a stage of a race and one letter of the name B-L-A-N-T-O-N-S. The nose is caramel, vanilla, honey, citrus peel and baking spices. The palate brings caramelised sugar, vanilla cream, toasted oak, nutmeg and light orange zest, and the finish is long, with lingering spice, oak and subtle sweetness.
