Blanton's Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace, selected by La Maison du Whisky in Paris and bottled at cask strength in a 70cl bottle.
It comes from barrel 21, stored on rick 53 and dumped on 31 July 2019.
The nose is raspberry brandy with violet and mineral notes, followed by grain and jammy marmalade with beeswax. On the palate, coconut milk, citrus zest and dark chocolate lead, then maize, tobacco and chervil. The finish is fruity, with blackcurrant, bramble, white grape and clementine.
