Blanton's Single Barrel La Maison du Whisky 2020 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace, bottled at cask strength in a 700ml bottle. La Maison du Whisky of Paris chose the barrel from Warehouse H for its 2020 selection, and the bourbon was bottled at its natural strength.
The nose is raspberry brandy with violet, slate-like mineral notes, grain, jammy marmalade and beeswax. On the palate, coconut milk, citrus zest and dark chocolate lead into maize, then pipe tobacco and chervil. The finish brings blackcurrant, bramble, white grape and clementine, with praline, honey and rose.
