Blanton's Special Reserve Red Label (75cl, 46.5%)

Blanton's Special Reserve Red Label is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon made for the Japanese market, in a 750ml bottle at 46.5% ABV (93 proof). It uses the high-rye Buffalo Trace mash bill and the Warehouse H ageing of Blanton's Original Single Barrel, with approximately two more years in oak. The barrels come from the centre-cut section of Warehouse H, and the extra time adds to the vanilla and caramel while deepening the spice. The nose is creamy vanilla and caramel with butterscotch, baking spice and a hint of dried fruit. The palate is rich and structured, with citrus and warm oak spice. The finish is long and warming, with vanilla, clove and dry oak.
