Blanton's Straight from the Barrel 2015 (70cl)

This is a 2015 bottling of Blanton's Straight from the Barrel, a bourbon bottled at cask strength in a 70cl bottle. The Blanton's brand was created in 1984 by Elmer T. Lee at the George T. Stagg distillery, which was renamed Buffalo Trace in 1999. The brand is normally a bourbon of six to eight years old. It ages in Warehouse H at Buffalo Trace, the distillery's only metal-clad warehouse, built shortly after Prohibition. Metal transfers heat faster than brick, which allows quicker ageing. The warehouse was commissioned by Albert B. Blanton, who gave the whiskey its name.
