This is a limited edition 25 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It is finished in sherry casks, following maturation in a mix of American oak ex-Bourbon casks and European oak Oloroso sherry casks.
Bowmore describes it as a slow, balanced malt, with baked butterscotch and singed cocoa running through smoke and minerality.
The nose combines dark fruits, coastal smoke and a light herbal note. The palate shows peat smoke with cocoa, dry oak and a creamy, nutty quality. The finish brings gentle smoke, oak, mocha and subtle hints of prunes.
