Brother's Bond is a small batch Straight Bourbon, aged for at least four years in new American oak. The staves are charred to level 4 and the barrel heads to level 2. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The whiskey vats three mash bills made from 65% corn, 22% rye and 13% wheat and barley, with no more than 135 barrels in each batch. It was distilled and matured by MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and the founders, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, choose the whiskeys for the final blend.
The nose offers baked banana bread, peach, walnut and orange honey, with cinnamon and a hint of smoke. Vanilla cream, stone fruit and black tea lead the palate. The finish is soft, warm and long, with caramel, oak and cinnamon.
