Buffalo Trace – 2001 Experimental Collection 11 Year Old Rye Bourbon 125 (37.5cl, 45%)

This is an 11 year old Rye Bourbon from Buffalo Trace, part of its Experimental Collection, in a 375ml bottle. It was distilled from the distillery's low-rye mashbill #1 and filled into cask at 125 proof, which is 15 below the strength at which it runs from the still. It was the fourth of four bottlings in release number 15. Sazerac, the company behind Buffalo Trace, has been releasing whiskey from its experimental barrels since 2006.
