Buffalo Trace – Kosher Straight Rye Whiskey (75cl, 47%)

This is a Kosher straight rye whiskey from Buffalo Trace, made in partnership with the Chicago Rabbinical Council. It was distilled from the same grains as the distillery's other straight ryes and aged for seven years in barrels set aside as Kosher. It is bottled at 94 proof, or 47% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. To meet Passover requirements, the barrels were sold to a non-Jewish executive in a ceremony witnessed by a council representative, and the bottling lines were cleaned beforehand. It is released each year after Passover and is described as big and brash.
