Buffalo Trace O.F.C. 1993 is a 25 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from the O.F.C. Vintage series, distilled in 1993 and dated to that year. The O.F.C. name goes back to the original distillery on the Buffalo Trace site, which Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. christened in 1870.
It comes in a hand-cut crystal bottle of 750ml, housed in a wooden case.
The bourbon is deep amber, with caramel, vanilla and oak on the nose and subtle dried fruit and spice. The palate is full-bodied, with toffee, dark chocolate and toasted nuts, and the long finish is sweet oak with a touch of leather.
