A 25-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, distilled in 1996 and part of the distillery's OFC series. It comes in a 75cl hand-cut crystal decanter, individually numbered.
The bourbon is made from a high-rye mash bill and spent its 25 years in the distillery's rickhouses before bottling.
The nose offers caramel, dried fruit, aged leather and deep oak. On the palate it is rich and concentrated, with dark fruit, warm spice, vanilla and oak. The finish is very long and evolves in stages.
