Buffalo Trace White Dog Mash #1 (37.5cl, 62.5%)

Buffalo Trace White Dog Mash #1 is a clear, unaged whiskey taken straight off the still at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. It is the raw spirit that goes on to become the distillery's Kentucky Straight Bourbon, and it is bottled at 62.5% ABV in a 37.5cl bottle. It is made from the same mash bill of corn, rye and malted barley as that bourbon. It can be taken neat, over ice or used as a base for cocktails. The nose is sweet corn. The palate has a slight burn with corn, oil and vanilla.
