William Larue Weller is a 12 year old bourbon from Buffalo Trace, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle.
It is named after the man credited with creating wheated bourbon, in which wheat takes the place of the spicy rye grain in the mashbill.
The nose is oily and rich, with marzipan, cereals and vanilla spice. The palate is oaky, with spice, a perfumed note and toasty character, and the finish is quite sweet, oaky and rich in cereal.
