Bunnahabhain – 2007 Malts of Scotland (70cl, 51.5%)

This 2007 Bunnahabhain is an Islay single malt bottled by Malts of Scotland at 51.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. Bunnahabhain stands on Islay's north-eastern corner, opposite the island of Jura on the Sound of Islay. It was built in 1881, and the remoteness of the site meant a long, winding road to the sea had to be made first. Until 2003 the distillery remained with the founders' descendants, Highland Distillers. Its water comes from an underground spring, the Margadale river, and is relatively light in peat for Islay.
