Bunnahabhain – Aonadh 10 Years Old

Bunnahabhain Aonadh is a 10 year old Islay single malt made by marrying two Bunnahabhain whiskies after maturation: one finished in port casks and one matured in sherry. The result is described as rich vanilla and full fruit flavours with cinnamon, nuts and a faint taste of the sea, balancing sweetness, salt and spice. The colour is a deep auburn. The nose is rich, creamy vanilla with notes of brandy, caramel, berries and a subtle hint of oak. The palate brings sweet red and black fruit, cinnamon spice, roasted nuts and a light saltiness. The finish is long, with fading spice recalling chilli chocolate and a touch of floral sweetness.
