Bushmills 10 Year is a triple distilled Irish single malt made from 100% malted barley at Old Bushmills Distillery in Northern Ireland, which was licensed in 1608. It is aged for at least 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels and sherry casks.
The bourbon barrels contribute vanilla and caramel, while the sherry casks add dried fruit, mocha and depth. The result is a silky, medium-bodied malt with a heather and lilac floral note.
The nose is sweet citrus, mocha and vanilla with floral heather and lilac. The palate is silky, with citrus, mocha, vanilla and gentle floral notes. The finish is soft, with expanding warmth.
