Bushmills 21 Year Old Madeira Drum Finish Single Malt (75cl, 40%)

Bushmills 21 Year is an Irish single malt from Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, triple distilled and aged for 21 years. It spent 19 years in American oak and Spanish sherry barrels before moving to old Madeira drums for the final two years. Madeira drums are casks that previously held the fortified wine from the Portuguese island of Madeira, and the finish adds dark chocolate, dried fruit and wine sweetness. The nose shows dark chocolate, toffee, Madeira wine, light peat and citrus. Rich dried fruit, warm spice, dark chocolate, coffee and Madeira sweetness lead the palate, and the finish is very long, with chocolate and wine.
