Bushmills 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Old Bushmills Distillery in Northern Ireland, in a 75cl bottle. It is made from 100% malted barley and triple distilled.
The whiskey matures in a combination of bourbon barrels and sherry casks. The different cask batches are blended after separate maturation, a marrying step that brings them together.
On the nose there is honey, dried fruit, vanilla and a sherry-led richness. The palate is smooth, with vanilla, caramel, dried fruit and malt depth. The finish is long and warming, with honey and oak.
