Bushmills Original is a blended Irish whiskey from the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It combines triple-distilled single malt with Irish single grain, and is unpeated.
The whiskey matures for a minimum of five years in seasoned ex-bourbon American oak casks.
The nose is light, with honey, ripe apple, sweet maltiness and a whisper of vanilla. The palate is clean and soft, with delicate fruit, creamy vanilla fudge and a hint of toasted grain. The finish is relatively short and crisp, with warmth and a faint butterscotch sweetness.
