This is a 17 year old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from GlenAllachie, bottled independently by William Cadenhead as part of its Original Collection. It was distilled in 2008 and bottled at 46% ABV.
The whisky spent all 17 years maturing in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose brings raisins, red apples and toasted nuts, with dark caramel, malt and gentle oak. The palate is rich with dried fruit, chocolate and roasted nuts, alongside orchard fruit and warming spice. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sherry sweetness, nuts, dried fruit and mature oak.
