A single cask rum from St Lucia, aged for 16 years in ex-bourbon and ex-port wine casks. It was bottled at 60.1% vol in a 700 ml bottle, with an outturn of 257 bottles.
The nose offers spicy oak, coconut, caramel, honey, ripe apples, raisins, plums, leather, tobacco, orange and a pleasant nuttiness. On the palate, plum, blackberries, caramelised coconut, ripe apples, raisins and mint combine, finishing with soft toffee and grape impressions.
The rum was distilled in a Coffey column still at Chairman's Reserve on St Lucia and matured there tropically.
