The whiskey matured in ex-bourbon barrels and was then finished in Portuguese port casks. It is non-chill filtered.
It is described as sweet with red fruit such as strawberry and raspberry, alongside caramel, vanilla, soft spices, toasted oak and a hint of chocolate. The finish is soft and round, with port influences.
