Colonel E.H. Taylor Old Fashioned Sour Mash (75cl, 50%)

Colonel E.H. Taylor Old Fashioned Sour Mash is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace, bottled in bond at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It was distilled in 2002. The release honours Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr. and his late-1800s technique of letting the mash sour naturally for days before distillation, which is said to give a fuller body and deeper character. Taylor bought the O.F.C. Distillery in 1869 and lobbied for the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897. It comes in the Taylor collection's cylindrical tube with a hand-dipped wax seal.
