Colonel E.H. Taylor Warehouse C Tornado Surviving is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, released as a limited edition in the Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. Collection. It comes in a 75cl bottle with a cylindrical case.
The bourbon is drawn from 93 special casks in Warehouse C, which Taylor built in 1881. In April 2006 a tornado struck the warehouse and left nearly 24,000 barrels exposed to the elements. The Kentucky heat accelerated the ageing of the surviving barrels, giving a maturation profile distinct from the rest of the Taylor range.
