Crabbie (Macallan) 30 Year Old Single Cask (70cl, 48.6%)

This is a 30-year-old single cask Speyside single malt bottled by John Crabbie, which turned up in 2018. The distillery is not named on the packaging, but it is widely understood to be Macallan, distilled in the late 1980s. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in a single refill Oloroso sherry cask that yielded 330 bottles, and it is bottled at a natural cask strength of 48.6% ABV. It is smokier than standard Macallan bottlings. A batch of lightly peated malt was apparently used in error around 1988.
