Cask Noir is a single malt from Craigellachie distillery in Speyside, from the 2007 vintage, bottled at 52.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery dates from 1891 and is now owned by the Bacardi Martini group. Its 1964 renovation raised the number of stills to four, and the water now comes from the Blue Hill. Worm tubs, spiral copper pipes, cool the vapour, so the new make touches little copper and ends up with a robust flavour.
