This is a 2008 Craigellachie, an independent bottling by Duncan Taylor at 54.1% in a 70cl bottle. Craigellachie is a Speyside distillery.
The distillery was built in 1891 and is now owned by the Bacardi Martini group. A renovation in 1964 expanded it to four stills. Its steam is cooled in worm tubs, spiral copper pipes, so the new make has little contact with copper, which is said to give a robust flavour.
