Cream of Kentucky Cask Strength is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled without chill filtration at approximately 120 proof, in a 75cl bottle. Its mash bill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley.
The brand dates from the 1930s and was revived by Jim Rutledge, formerly Master Distiller at Four Roses. It is now bottled at Kentucky Artisan Distillery in Prospect, Kentucky.
Reviewers describe a vanilla-led, old-school nose and a palate of Dutch cocoa with candied cherry, cinnamon, graham cracker and butterscotch. The finish brings black pepper and red apple warmth.
