This is an 18-year-old blended Canadian whisky from Crown Royal, in a 75cl-style 750ml bottle at 40% ABV.
It is made from a blend of three whiskies drawn from five mash bills and run through 12 different distillation columns. Part of the blend comes from the LaSalle distillery in Montreal, which has since closed. Every component has spent at least 18 years in cask before blending.
The nose is vanilla and ripe stone fruit with dried fruit, honey and a light rye spice. On the palate come caramel, light oak, raisins, cocoa and brown sugar, and the finish is long, with nougat and soft oak tannins.
