This is a 2007 Dailuaine single malt from the Old Malt Cask range, bottled by Hunter Laing at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Dailuaine stands on the southern bank of the River Spey at Carron, near Aberlour in Speyside. William Mackenzie founded it in 1851, and its name means "green valley". For most of its history the distillery's whisky went into blends, above all Johnnie Walker. Electricity arrived in 1950, and in 1960 the distillery went from four stills to six.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
