Dailuaine – 2012 SMoS #300548 (70cl, 58.3%)

This is a 2012 Dailuaine single malt from The Single Malts of Scotland range, bottled by Elixir Distillers at 58.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Dailuaine is in Speyside, on the southern bank of the River Spey at Carron near Aberlour. William Mackenzie founded it in 1851, and its name translates as "green valley". The distillery's whisky was used almost entirely for blending, mainly for Johnnie Walker. Electricity came in 1950, and in 1960 the number of stills was raised from four to six.
