This is a 15 year old single malt from Dalmore in the Highlands, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2024 at 48.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a distillery bottling from the Vintage series.
The whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks, then received a finish in a combination of sherry and port casks before the casks were married.
The nose offers mandarin, raisin, cranberry, blueberry, dried figs and candied walnut, with darker fruits arriving later. The palate is soft, with dark chocolate, tobacco, pepper, orange, roasted almonds and a light sweetness. The finish is very long, with orange, cherry cake, ripe grapes and jammy toffee.
