Dalmore – 21 Years (70cl, 42%)

A 21 year old Highland single malt from Dalmore, bottled at 42% abv in a 70cl bottle in an edition of 8,000. The bottle carries a handcrafted silver royal stag, the Dalmore emblem. The whisky spent eleven years in ex-bourbon casks of American white oak, then ten years in Oloroso sherry casks from the González Byass bodega in Jerez. These were first fill Matusalem Oloroso butts that had previously held sherry for 30 years. Master blender Richard Peterson selected the casks. The colour is amber. The nose offers ripe fruit such as apricots and oranges, with ginger and caramelised pear.
