Daniel Weller 1794 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace, bottled at 47% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a limited release that honours Daniel Weller, grandfather of William Larue Weller and an early American distiller. The mash bill uses spelt wheat, an ancient European grain, which sets it apart from the wheated bourbons made today. It was distilled, aged and bottled in Kentucky. The nose offers toasted grains, honey, baked apples and light baking spices. On the palate come caramel, vanilla and a gentle nuttiness, balanced by oak and citrus zest. The finish is medium to long, with warm spice, lingering sweetness and a soft grainy note.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
