The Teuchter Batch 1 is a 17 year old Highland single malt, bottled independently by Decadent Drinks as the first release in its Teuchter series. The series is presented as a celebration of modern Highland malt, made for relaxed, approachable drinking.
It was distilled in 2008, matured entirely in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry wood and bottled in 2025 at around 46%. The long PX maturation shapes a deeply sherried character of dark dried fruits, treacle, brown sugar, walnuts and winter spices.
The nose offers dates, brown sugar, walnuts, cured-meat notes and oak spice. The palate is caramelised sugar and treacle with roasted nuts and mulling spices, and the finish carries dried fruit, malt loaf and sultana sweetness.
