Double Eagle Very Rare is a 20-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, and part of the Eagle Rare family. This is the 2021 annual release, in a 75cl bottle.
It comes in a hand-cut crystal decanter inside a custom display case, and each bottle is individually numbered.
The nose is dried fruit, leather, aged oak and deep caramel. The palate brings dried fruit, vanilla, warm spice and oak, and the finish is very long, developing in several stages.
