Meet the Beast is a limited-edition 13 year old Timorous Beastie, a Highland blended malt released by Douglas Laing in 2022. It is a vatting of Highland single malts, bottled at its natural cask strength of 52.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 3,000 bottles were produced.
The whisky was matured only in American bourbon barrels, for at least 13 years, and has concentrated honey, citrus, vanilla and warming spice.
The nose is sweet honey with spiced citrus, vanilla and malt. On the palate, burnt orange zest and waxy honeycomb sit alongside spicy vanilla and oak. The finish is gently spicy, with sweet vanilla and honeyed malt.
