Timorous Beastie Meet the Beast is a limited-edition Highland blended malt from Douglas Laing's Remarkable Regional Malts range, released on 13 October 2023. It brings together malt whiskies from Highland distilleries, all matured in bourbon casks.
It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.3% ABV, with no added colouring and no chill filtration.
The nose opens with sweet vanilla, lively citrus and juicy malted barley. The palate is warm and full-bodied, with freshly baked gingerbread, liquid honey and restrained spice. The finish is long and sweet, with meringue and caramel fudge.
