Eagle Rare 17 Year Old Bourbon 2020 (75cl, 50.5%)

This is the 2020 release of Eagle Rare 17 Year Old, a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort and one of the annual bottlings in the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. It is bottled at 50.5% ABV (101 proof) in a 75cl-style US size of 750ml. The whiskey was distilled in spring 2002 and matured for 17 years on the first floor of Warehouse P. It is rich amber with copper highlights. The nose offers ripe cherries, vanilla cream and oak. On the palate there is caramel and coffee with warm oak spice, and the long finish brings oak, pepper and fresh herbs.
