This is the 2014 release of Eagle Rare 17 Year Old, a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. It was aged for 17 years in new charred American oak and is bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The nose is fragrant and almost wine-like, with almond, cigar boxes and cinnamon. The palate is delicate and dry, with leather, vanilla and tobacco. The finish is long and leathery, with toffee.
