Eagle Rare 17 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, in a 750ml bottle. This is the 2016 release of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, bottled uncut and unfiltered after 17 years in new charred American oak.
It is the bourbon of the collection, drawn from the barrels the Buffalo Trace master distiller selected for that year's release.
The nose is perfumed, with dried fruit and aged oak. The palate brings aged leather, honey sweetness, smoke and herbs, and the finish is long and dry, with oak and dried fruit fading slowly.
