Elements of Islay Sherry Cask is a blend of Islay single malts from two distilleries, bottled at 54.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is one of three in the core range, alongside Cask Edit and Bourbon Cask.
The whisky is matured in first fill and refill sherry butts and hogsheads. The malt from a south coast distillery brings dried fruits and dark chocolate, while one from the north coast adds lemon oil and Arbroath smokie.
The nose has tobacco, sandalwood, lemon oil, ginger root and a hint of menthol. The palate is rich and unctuous, with candied orange, stem ginger and date cake. The finish is long, with treacle toffee and smoky black tea.
