This is a Highland single malt from a distillery that is not named, bottled by Elixir Distillers as Parcel 7 of its Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Casks. It is a 2008 whisky, matured for more than 12 years in a batch of three ex-sherry butts and bottled in 2021 at 48%.
The nose brings sherry trifle, glace cherries, dark chocolate cake, walnuts, cinnamon and strawberry jam. On the palate come caramel stroopwafel, chocolate fudge sauce, ginger and blueberry compote.
