Elmer T. Lee 40th Anniversary Edition is a Kentucky straight single barrel bourbon from Buffalo Trace, bottled uncut and without chill filtration in a 75cl bottle. It marks forty years since the original Elmer T. Lee Bourbon first appeared, and honours the Master Distiller it is named after. Each barrel was chosen for its richness and individuality and bottled at its own natural proof, so strength varies from bottle to bottle between 124.8 and 138.6 proof. The nose brings apricot, almond, vanilla, toasted coconut and honeysuckle. The palate is rich and chewy, with a crème brûlée sweetness, and the finish is long with toasted oak and baking spice.
