A single barrel sour mash Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace, released as a tribute to its master distiller Elmer T. Lee, whose life spanned 1919 to 2013. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
Elmer T. Lee pioneered the practice of selecting individual barrels for bottling at Buffalo Trace, and this edition honours his single barrel sour mash style.
The nose is rich caramel and vanilla with a hint of spice. On the palate it is smooth and balanced, with honey, oak and a touch of fruit, leading to a long, warm finish.
