Few Spirits – 4 Year Old 2018 SMWS B4.10 Tropical Cheesecake Single #3 Char New Oak Barrel (70cl)

This is a four year old Illinois straight bourbon from Few Spirits, distilled in 2018 and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as B4.10 Tropical Cheesecake. It comes from a single new oak barrel with a number 3 char, and 218 bottles were filled. The nose offers creamy butter melted into walnut oil, Japanese plums and greengage. On the palate are satsumas and bananas in exotic fruit juice, cumin spice and a bitter finish of chocolate stout. With water, sweet digestive biscuit and cheesecake base emerge, alongside demerara sugar, pear eau de vie, Szechuan pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, aniseed and orange blossom honey.
