FEW Spirits – x Smashing Pumpkins Straight Bourbon Whiskey (46.5%)

A straight bourbon from FEW Spirits of Evanston, Illinois, made in collaboration with The Smashing Pumpkins. It starts from the distillery's Straight Bourbon mash bill of 70% corn, 20% rye and 10% malted barley. Instead of proofing with water alone, FEW used Midnight Rose black tea, made by Billy Corgan of the band, to bring the whiskey down to 46.5% ABV (93 proof). The nose combines rose water and black tea with caramel, vanilla and sandalwood. On the palate come rose, lemon peel, orange slice candy and lingering spice, and the finish carries tea-led rose into oak spice and warmth.
