This is a single barrel bourbon from Few Spirits of Evanston, Illinois, bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It comes from barrel #16-0686, selected individually and bottled without blending. The mashbill is 70% corn, 20% rye and 10% two-row malt, and the spirit ages in new charred American oak barrels sourced from Minnesota, where the tighter-grained wood gives a more concentrated oak influence. The nose offers caramel, vanilla, baking spices and black cherry. On the palate, wood and black pepper lead to malt, caramel, molasses and a peppermint note. The finish is long and warm, with spice and wood tannins.
