This is a four-year-old bourbon from FEW Spirits of Evanston, Illinois, made in collaboration with the rock band The Smashing Pumpkins. It is bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle, from a mashbill of 70% corn, 20% rye and 10% malted barley. Instead of water, the bourbon is brought down from cask strength to bottling strength with Midnight Rose black tea, a technique rarely used in American whiskey. It is a limited release. The nose is described as rose water and honeydew melon over black tea and caramel. On the palate come sandalwood, vanilla and a touch of citrus, followed by a long finish of tea-led rose and oak spice.
